Leaving Europe by ferry at Calais, France to Dover, England.
As we enter the ferry terminal in Calais, we went through France immigration, followed by the British immigration office. On the British side, there were some forms to be filled up and after a couple of routine questions, we were stamped in. We then proceeded to buy our ferry ticket. Next ferry departs at 1.30pm. UK customs checking was done on landing at Dover.
Boarding the ferry.. Bye, Europe... Hello, UK!
Our Sorento onboard the ferry
Out of Schengen onto UK soil... there's a one hour time difference between France and UK.
We took the M20 to Ashford followed by the country roads to Stonehenge.

Locking
Dad: I was trained in RAF Locking, No1 Radio School in 1970 and 1974. In 2012, I visited Locking on my overland trip to Glasgow, I was hoping to see the school...but what a disappointment. I was told that the land under Mindef UK, where the school stood was sold for commercial development and named Locking Parkland, but the School's Guard Room was left to stand though I missed it. A monument was erected later in 2018 by Former RAF Locking Apprentice Association RAFLAA.
Our dinner - roast pork with apple sauce and veg and ...
fish and chips with mushy peas.
Too oily for our liking...
The site of the Old 1970 Town Garden Clock....
