Piled up snow and a Ski School

Note the fencing on the right top barriers to prevent snow slides

Lech Lech am Arlberg is a mountain village and an exclusive ski resort in the Bludenz district in the Austrian. Lech Town sits on the banks of the River Lech. Lech is one of Austria's main attractions for the rich and famous. Lech is a favourite hideaway village for the wealthy.

We stumbled into this exclusive Ski Resort Town of Lech am Alsberg on our way to Warth , Reutte and Fusson

Lech River

Just at the edge of Lech Town we encountered a Road Closed Sign.....we heeded the advice and made a u turn back to L197.

Our planned route was to head further North into the Alps to the City of Warth thence to Reutte and Fussen at the German Border, planned destination is to the City of Munich, Germany

Oberlech Village and Ski Resort

Note the "barriers" to protect the villages in the valleys from snow slides

The road is narrow but the scenery to the snowy Mountains and snow covered Village of Oberlech is just too enchanting to miss.....
