Driving from Stonehenge to Locking, Weston Supermare, Somerset, England to visit my Old School.

Dad: I was trained in RAF Locking, No1 Radio School in 1970 and 1974. In 2012, I visited Locking on my overland trip to Glasgow, I was hoping to see the school...but what a disappointment. I was told that the land under Mindef UK, where the school stood was sold for commercial development and named Locking Parkland, but the School's Guard Room was left to stand though I missed it. A monument was erected later in 2018 by Former RAF Locking Apprentice Association RAFLAA.

Weston-super-Mare brings back the memories when I was a young lad sent by the RMAF to persue a Radar Electronics Course. Malaysia had their first set of Air Defence Radars in 1970. We were the pioneers.and the first few batches to maintain the Radars that still operates till this date 12/2020

also known as the New York of Europe is famous for the Beatles and The Liverpool Football Club YNWA ...a top football club in the UK and Europe. Liverpool is also famed as a port and for its pioneer industries. A few areas in the city are World Heritage Sites like the Pier Head areas, Albert Dock, William Brown Street and the Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City Centre.
