Hungary - Budapest

Budapest is the Capital of Hungary. The City is split in two areas called Buda and Pest. The Chain Bridge that connects the two areas was only built in the late 18th Centuary.

Buda's Old Town and its attractions are located on a hilly area. A funicular train runs up to Buda's Castle, The Trinity Square, Fisherman's Bastion and St. Matthias' Church

Fisherman's Bastion gives one an excellent view of the three bridges, the Grand Danube and the expansive Parliament Buildings. The Chain Bridge and the vast expanse of the Danube are magnificent sights and they make excellent photography

Taking the Chain bridge to Pest on the other side of the Danube, visitors would head straight to the huge Liberty Square and the Millennium Monument, further away is the City Park, Castle Area and the Thermal Baths.

Michael’s Gate is the only surviving of four medieval city gates. Built in the early 15th century and completed with the tower in the 18th, the Gate/Tower hosts the statue of Archangel Michael slaying a dragon — and the spirit of the municipal executioner. Walk through the Michalská Gate in silence so as not to awaken him! googled
